
Barbara is Senior Account Director at TFI Meeting Point and has overall responsibility for our client portfolio and our business development strategy. She has over 25 years’ experience in the events industry and prior to joining TFI Group in January 2009, was Director of Events and Member Services at the National Association of Pensions Funds, where she gained an in-depth understanding of the business from the Client’s side. Having managed events of all sizes and formats, Barbara’s main area of expertise is in the Association and Public Sectors. Barbara’s understanding of the importance of an event as an ‘asset’ enables her to provide advice to clients about how to optimise their event portfolios - ranging from strategic direction to on-budget execution.

Caroline is founder director of TFI Meeting Point and is respected across the Events Industry in the UK and internationally, playing an active part in the Asconet Network. She connects at the cutting edge of industry development with key influencers and decision makers and frequently speaks on industry platforms. Our clients benefit from the wealth of knowledge and experience Caroline brings to the table in a consultancy role and from her many connections across the Association market.

Laura is Account Manager. Her event portfolio includes the National Apprenticeship Skills Council Awards Event 2007-2009, the International Meeting for Autism Research Congress 2008 for 1200 delegates and the forthcoming Society for the Study of Inherent Metabolic Disorders Congress 2012 when 2000 international delegates are expected. She also has responsibility for projects relating to TFI Group’s capacity as supplier to the COI within their Events, Exhibitions and Technical Services Framework. Laura is also responsible for supporting our corporate and pharmaceutical teams and specifically in respect of delegate traveland accommodation management, online registration packages and onsite logistics for our Philips and GSK account clients. Laura has a degree in German, Edinburgh University.

Lauren manages the finances and accounts for all of TFI Meeting Point’s clients. Her overall objective is to provide financial information that supports the strategic direction of an event in relation to its finances and helps us in partnership with our client make informed decisions that maximise the potential of the events.
Lauren works closely with TFI Group’s Finance Director as well as other members of the Finance Team to ensure our clients have immediate access to up to the minute financial information. Lauren also advises our clients on VAT and other financial matters that require very specific financial expertise.

Debby is responsible for the management of all our hotel and venue relationships working on behalf of our Association clients to secure the most competitive rates in destinations across the UK and internationally. She specialises in the procurement of hotel accommodation blocks and her expertise and knowledge in this area is unparalleled. Clients benefit particularly from Debby’s depth and breadth of experience and from her negotiation skills and buying power.

Jemma has recently been appointed to manage the development of our business in Scotland. She is responsible for building relationships with key contacts across the medical and financial communities. In particular, Jemma works closely with our Glasgow and Edinburgh Convention Bureaux partners to support local ambassadors wishing to win bids to host their national or international conference in Scotland. Jemma brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table having managed projects for the corporate and pharmaceutical sectors as well as for national and international association clients. Scottish and based in Edinburgh, Jemma has considerable experience of all sorts of venues, having worked extensively at the EICC, Edinburgh and SECC, Glasgow as well as unusual and academic destinations.

Lisa is one of our multilingual team members with experience in running events in several countries. Originally from Sweden where Lisa worked in finance and IT-consulting, Lisa decided to head for London and has now been with TFI Meeting Point for more than a one year as Account Executive. Lisa focuses on planning and delivering 120 events annually for PFS (Personal Finance Society) including roadshows, dinners and annual conferences across the UK for over 29,000 financial industry professionals.
